WiF - Woman in Fashion
Before March is over I decided to take a time to highlight the women in Fashion.
Fashion is known as one of many sectors with male lead, not just in the cooperative field, but also for the Head of Creation in the fashion houses, but does not mean that there’s not a female lead in it, in fact, I hope to show that it’s quite the opposite with this new mix I’ve just made.

So sit back and enjoy (or try…) the female parade entitled: Women in fashion (I can be more creative than this).
by: Paula Diniz.
No better start than perhaps the now world most famous leader, creative director and more: Miuccia Prada. Founder and chief of Prada and Miu Miu, first and second, precisely on Lyst Index Hottest Brands Q4 2023, no big deal han? Also her products are on the hottest list as well, bringing wearable fashion to women, she is now the Queen of Fashion, long live the Queen. (Cover picture and first two images above.)

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Virginie Ward are also on the lead of major maisons as Dior and Chanel. As for Maria, she is the first woman to ever step at this position at the House Dior in its 70-year history.
Virginie for other hand takes the lead of a historical female house, founded by Coco Chanel.

The Italians are having a woman wave, for a few years, they’ve brands such as Alberta Ferretti, The Attico con Gilda Ambrosio e Giorgia Tordini, Luisa Spagnoli, Luisa Beccaria e poi la iconica Donatella Versace.
Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine wearing The Attico.
They are not alone, there’s plenty more women making it through, such as: Simone Rocha, who recently designed for Jean Paul Gaultier and presented a fashion show.

Stella McCartney, yes Paul McCartney’s daughter, with sustainable luxury. The famous Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, Phoebe Philo and the eccentric Rei Kawakubo for Comme des Garçons, you might have heard from her from the Met Gala 2017 theme: 2017—Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between. In case you don’t, please check it! It worth it!
The old and the new, some brands are making Designers transitions lately, Chloé is one of them. Gabriela Hearst leaves the brand and Chemena Kamali starts the new brand cycle.
And talking about new, I chose to finish with Feben, who presented at Milan Fashion Week with the support of Dolce & Gabbana. Feben is a promising emergent designer, born in Ethiopia and based in London. We are going to see a lot more of Feben for sure!
